Alaska Airlines grounded by IT outage — operations resume after ~3-hour halt
On July 20 at 8 p.m. PT, Alaska Airlines and its Horizon Air subsidiary requested a system-wide ground stop due to a technology failure. All flights were grounded until around 11 p.m. PT, with lingering delays expected as aircraft and crews were repositioned.
