Alaska Airlines grounded by IT outage — operations resume after ~3-hour halt

On July 20 at 8 p.m. PT, Alaska Airlines and its Horizon Air subsidiary requested a system-wide ground stop due to a technology failure.

All flights were grounded until around 11 p.m. PT, with lingering delays expected as aircraft and crews were repositioned.

The airline operates 238 Boeing 737s and 87 Embraer 175s, all affected during the outage
